Winters Film Group distributes films with a simple goal: connect distinctive movies with the audiences who want to see them.

As filmmakers ourselves, we built our distribution operation from the other side of the table. We understand what it takes to develop, finance, produce, and finish a motion picture — and we believe the same care that goes into making a film should go into releasing it.

Theatrical

Theatrical exhibition is an important part of our distribution strategy. Winters Film Group works directly with theaters across the country to create theatrical engagements that make sense for each individual film.

Our current release, Bountiful, is playing theaters across the United States through a growing network of independent theaters and exhibitors. Rather than applying the same release model to every picture, we build theatrical campaigns around the film, its audience, and the markets where we believe it can perform.

As that network grows, it becomes a distribution path not only for films produced by Winters Film Group, but for selected films from other filmmakers as well.

Direct to the Audience

Flixwest is the audience-facing platform of Winters Film Group and an important part of our distribution system.

Through Flixwest, audiences can discover the films we produce and release, purchase tickets to theatrical engagements, and soon stream selected films directly.

That direct relationship with viewers allows us to build an audience that can follow a film from theatrical release into streaming — and follow Winters Film Group releases from one picture to the next.

Streaming

Following theatrical release, selected films can receive an exclusive streaming window on Flixwest before moving into additional digital and streaming opportunities.

We believe each film should have a release strategy built around the picture rather than automatically being pushed into every available platform at once.

International

Winters Film Group represents selected rights internationally and works with buyers and distribution partners on a territory-by-territory basis.

International sales operate alongside our domestic distribution strategy, allowing rights to be licensed in individual territories while Winters Film Group maintains the appropriate domestic and direct-to-viewer rights.

A Growing Distribution Network

Our objective is bigger than releasing individual films. We are building a lasting distribution infrastructure — relationships with theaters, direct relationships with viewers, streaming capabilities, international sales relationships, and a growing library of films.

That infrastructure begins with the films we produce ourselves and is now expanding to include selected films from other filmmakers.

We don’t believe every film belongs in our system. But when we believe in a picture, we want to give it a real path to an audience.
