Winters Film Group is an independent film studio founded in 2013 by filmmakers Paul and Patty Winters. Built on decades of experience in film and television — including Paul Winters’ more than 20 years in Hollywood producing and developing projects for all of the major Hollywood Studios (20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Paramount, Castle Rock, Universal, Nickelodeon, Amblin Entertainment, and CBS) — the company produces, finances, and distributes feature films and original programming.
Today, Winters Film Group operates across the full life of a motion picture — from development and production through theatrical release, streaming, international sales, and other distribution windows. Our growing library includes Westerns, dramas, comedies, and original television projects, with Bountiful and Driving Miss Vera currently in theatrical release across the United States.
We believe filmmakers should have a clear path to their audience and a clear accounting of the business their films generate. That philosophy led us to build our own distribution infrastructure rather than surrender control of our films after production.
Flixwest is the audience-facing platform of Winters Film Group, connecting viewers directly with the films we produce and release. It is where audiences can discover our films, purchase tickets to theatrical engagements, and, as the platform expands, stream selected titles directly.
As Winters Film Group grows, we are also bringing select films from other filmmakers into our distribution system. We look for distinctive, well-made pictures that fit our audience and that we believe we can genuinely support through theatrical, streaming, international, and other distribution opportunities.
We make films. We build audiences for them. And when we believe in a picture, we know how to take it to the audience.
Production
Winters Film Group maintains its own professional production infrastructure, including an ARRI ALEXA 35 cinema camera package, cinema lenses, lighting and grip equipment, and a fully equipped grip truck. Owning and operating our production resources allows us to move efficiently from development into production while maintaining creative and technical control throughout the filmmaking process.
